Another upgrade for WordPress and it is now at version 3.0. This is the thirteenth major release of WordPress. It is now available for download or by upgrading within your WordPress dashboard. Say Bye Bye to Kubrick as now there is a new default theme called Twenty Ten. The theme developers have new APIs that allow them to easily implement custom backgrounds, headers, shortlinks, menus (no more file editing), post types, and taxonomies. The new default theme can do all that. The very much waited merging of MU and WordPress is now finally here. Now I can create a new multi-site functionality which makes it possible to run one blog or ten million from the same installation. It is time to revive my old MU blog I suppose. Interface has some changes as well and there are contextual help on every screen. Oh, you can also upgrade 15 plugins at once with a single click.
