I bought a new desktop over the weekend and I was so excited about it till I didn’t know I was doing something wrong. I had plugged in the power cord and connected all the LCD monitor, keyboard and mouse. After switching on the power and press the start button, nothing was running. The fan inside wasn’t moving at all. I thought I had the power cord not plugged in properly so pull it out and put it back in a few times. Still didn’t work. I tried calling the shop where I made the purchase but no one answered as everyone has gone back. It was already coming to 9pm. Anyway, that ignore, I went out to have supper with my friends about 11pm and told them about it. They couldn’t even think what was wrong with it either. One of them suggested that it might probably be one of the jumper was switched while I was going home. After we finish our supper around 1am, I went home to determined to find out what is wrong. It took me nearly 2 hours trying all sorts of way to finally get it running. And the reason was just pretty simple, I had been pressing the reset button trying to start the PC when I should be pressing the “Power On” button instead. Can’t blame me, I had trouble seeing it as the button and the casing was entirely black. Wasted all the time looking for something which was right in front of me all the time.
