Yesterday after dinner with boo, I met a couple of new friends at 1Utama. We went and watch a movie “Blood – The Last Vampire”. I thought it would be interesting as the title was a on vampire. There was only one vampire, Saya and she doesn’t sucks blood to live. Instead she just drink it off bottles provided to her. A lot of the CGI actions and some of it really looks fake. Not only that, she was to battle a very old, sly demon which ended too quickly. Overall, its not a very good watch for me.

A vampire named Saya, who is part of covert government agency that hunts and destroys demons in a post-WWII Japan, is inserted in a military school to discover which one of her classmates is a demon is disguise. She is on a mission to search for the oldest demon that killed her dad.

Starring: Gianna Jun, Allison Miller, Liam Cunningham, JJ Feild, Koyuki, Yasuaki Kurata, Michael Byrne, Colin Salmon, Andrew Pleavin, Larry Lamb, Constantine Gregory, Masiela Lusha, and Ailish OConnor.

Went for Angels & Demons yesterday at Cineleisure sponsored by Advertlets. This is one of the most anticipated movies of the year as it is the sequel to The Da Vinci Code and based on the best selling novel by the same author of The Da Vinci Code. Tom Hanks reprises his role as Harvard symbologist (One who practices, or who is versed in, symbology) Robert Langdon. He is shocked to find proof that the legendary secret society, the Illuminati – dedicated since the time of Galileo to promoting the interests of science and condemning the faith of Catholicism – is alive, well, and murderously active.

Since I’m watching it 2 days before the actual screening, the security was really tight. Everyone was scanned before they were allowed to enter. Its just like how people are being scanned at the airport. No one was allow to bring any devices that has recording function into the cinema and had to leave it at the counter.

I don’t know, maybe I was too tired but I couldn’t concentrate at the start of the moving and keep dozing off. It was only towards the middle part of the movie that it was exciting enough to keep me awake. The movie took about nearly 3 hours. Was it interesting? Only at certain parts and at least I know how they select the new pope now.

Watch this movie last night. Pretty slow movie and I nearly fall asleep at certain parts of the movie. Probably I was a little tired as well. The only interesting part of the movie is about when Maya was questioning her dad on his relationship while she guess who was her mother. There were 3 women in Will (Maya’s dad) life, Emily Summer and April Hoffman. Guess who was the one.

Synopsis
A thirtysomething Manhattan dad is in the midst of a divorce when his 10-year-old daughter, Maya, starts to question him about his life before marriage. Maya wants to know absolutely everything about how her parents met and fell in love: Will’s story begins in 1992, as a young, starry-eyed aspiring politician who moves to New York from Wisconsin in order to work on the presidential campaign. For Maya, Will relives his past as an idealistic young man learning the ‘ins’ and ‘outs’ of big city politics, and recounts the history of his romantic relationships with three very different women. Will hopelessly attempts a gentler version of his story for his daughter, and changes the names so Maya has to guess who is the woman her father finally married. Is her mother Will’s college sweetheart, the dependable girl next door Emily? Is she his longtime best friend and confidante, the apolitical April? I wanted to watch “Marley & Me” but decided to watch “Yes Man” instead. “Yes Man” stars Jim Carrey as Carl Allen where he is a man who keeps saying no to everything. He went for a self-help program that has only one principle that is to say “yes” to everything and anything no matter the request was. His life changed after that in amazing and unexpected ways but of course there were drawbacks as well. As usual, Jim Carrey will be making funny faces as always. It was not a bad movie and do remember to wait till the credit pass by a little as there is a bit more there.

A man signs up for a self-help program based on one simple principle: say yes to everything… and anything. At first, unleashing the power of “yes” transforms his life in amazing and unexpected ways, but he soon discovers that opening up his life to endless possibilities can have its drawbacks.

What Happens In Vegas

I was watching this movie “What Happens In Vegas” yesterday thus the late update on the “Man In Charge” episode. Its just one of those movie that I will probably only watch once. There isn’t much in it that would make me laugh or tears. Anyway, I got this movie from ItsC yesterday. It just one of the many that I got. Will probably go watch “Marley and Me” later.

Synopsis
Two strangers awaken together to discover they’ve gotten married following a night of debauchery in Sin City, and one of them has won a huge jackpot after playing the other’s quarter. The newlyweds devise ever-escalating schemes to undermine each other and get their hands on the money – only to find themselves falling in love amid the mutual backstabbing.
